With the iPhone SE launch recently and seeing it’s incredible price and specs; featuring the all new Apple’s powerful A13 Bionic chipset, that rivals Apple’s own iPhone 11 flagship.
And the price of the iPhone SE being on $399 – Apple’s cheapest iPhone but also good specs for the price, but people want a bigger screen on it. The iPhone SE 2020 rocks a 4.7 inch screen right now, which is kind of small in 2020. Given how used to bigger screens we are all.
Other than the screen and battery, the iPhone SE 2020 does have a very single camera and camera software that is similar to the iPhone 11. For the price however, it is extremely good for anyone that values good cameras. So we do expect the new iPhone SE Plus to have either the same camera or even better.
So, will Apple release the rumored iPhone SE Plus, which gives us the bigger screen and also great modern specs for its price?
Well an industry analyst by the name of Jon Prosser; someone that has been correct with Apple, hints that Apple will release this new iPhone SE Plus version some time.
But, due to the corona virus pandemic, it may have delayed Apple to release the new iPhone SE Plus. Reputable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo; whose Apple predictions have been pretty accurate in the past, have suggested that Apple may release the new phone in the second half of 2021.
If it is true that Apple will release it in 2021, that is quite a long wait for people to wait if they want to upgrade to something that is affordable with more modern specs and a decent screen size. iPhone SE is a great phone for the price, but we would like the screen size and battery size to be a little bigger for 2020 or 2021. As the battery size is 1800 mAH – For 2020, that is definitely outdated.
The choices people have right now for affordable Apple devices could be the iPhone 8 Plus – Which does come with a 5.5 Inch screen but the specs are not holding up to modern standards since that was quite a few generations ago.
Another model people could go for is the newer iPhone XR with a 6.1 inch display and better battery. But that is nearly two generations behind on specs and it wouldn’t be on par should Apple decide to release a new iPhone SE Plus (Especially in 2021).
We won’t know for sure when or if Apple will release this new iPhone SE Plus, or if they will decide to scrap the project all together.
But if they do, it will be a very good phone that gives everything you need for an affordable price.
As we get more news over the few months, time will tell if Apple will be bringing us this phone or not. It will be great news if the rumors are true!
